Since 1970, Morrill Hay Co. has been producing and delivering quality alfalfa to cattlemen and dairymen across the Midwest. During its many years of operation, Morrill Hay Co. (MHC) has gained experience and knowledge, as well as acquired the necessary resources to see an alfalfa crop through, from establishment, to harvest, to delivery. George Morrill, founder and company president, believes in delivering consistent quality alfalfa to customers, load after load, without variance.
Morrill Hay Co. is located on the west of edge of Larned along highway 156. Larned is located in the south central part of Kansas, in an area rich with alfalfa production. Varying from cutting to cutting, MHC custom harvests from 8,500 to 9,500 acres of alfalfa, across four counties. In addition to its own production, MHC has access to a large supply of alfalfa from area farmers and producers. Every year MHC draws upon that supply to fill the void of alfalfa needed above what it can produce. In addition to having access to a large volume of alfalfa, MHC has the ability to process and deliver according to any cattleman’s specifications and time requirements. With two late model 500 hp. tub grinders and five tractor trailers, as well as access to area freight carriers, MHC can deliver anywhere in the US on time.
